*If you will be connecting via a residential ISP service…
Most major internet service providers (ISP) block port 25 which is what is used to send email. They force you to use their smtp (mail) servers in an effort to fight spammers.
But because port 25 is blocked you will need to configure Outlook a little differently in order to work with your internet connection. You will need to change your Outgoing Mail
Server SMTP to match your ISP's outgoing mail server. This is provided by your ISP.
Here are the most common ISPs in our area:
Bellsouth: mail.bellsouth.net
Cox: smtp.east.cox.net
Comcast: smtp.comcast.net

If your ISP's Outgoing Mail server is not listed above or at the link you will need to contact your ISP.
